CMS Launches App to Help Determine Possible Payment Adjustments

CMS has launched an app that helps providers and healthcare professionals determine if upcoming payment adjustments for the e-prescribing, Physician Quality Reporting System and electronic health record incentive programs will apply to them, according to a Medscape Medical News report.

The tool — called the eHealth Interactive Payment Adjustment Tool — asks providers a series of “yes” or “no” questions. On the basis of the providers’ responses, it will determine whether the provider will owe the penalty, avoid the penalty or maybe even qualify for a bonus, according to the report.
