Boston Scientific Will Reduce Workforce By Up To 1,500 Jobs

Boston Scientific has announced plans to lay off between 1,100 and 1,500 jobs worldwide in the next two years, according to a report in The Boston Globe.

The company has plans to cut operating costs by between $150 million and $200 million by 2015. This is the company’s third restructuring announcement, aimed at addressing financial pressures from the changing marketplace.

At the start of 2013, Boston Scientific has 24,000 employees. Future cuts will include both layoffs and leaving vacancies unfilled.
