Ortho Kinematics’ Vertebral Motion Analysis System Cleared for Cervical Spine Use

Austin, Texas-based Ortho Kinematics received FDA 510(k) clearance to offer the Vertebral Motion Analysis system for cervical spine in addition to already-cleared use for lumbar spine.

VMA is a diagnostic technology to detect spinal instability. It was designed as an alternative to the 70-year-old routine assessment. The VMA system can provide evidence to insurance companies as to which patients are best candidates for spinal fusion surgery.
