With the technique, the hip implant is built inside the body. It requires no dislocation of the hip and no cutting of tendons or muscles. The muscle-sparing approach results in shorter hospital stays for patients.

Using SUPERPATH, the surgeon makes a small incision above the hip and does not need to twist the hip into unnatural positions. It is also designed to bring fewer activity limitations, less pain, decreased dislocation and less scarring.
