Lanx Appoints Dr. Fernando Villamil to Surgeon Advisory Board

Broomfield, Colo.-based Lanx has appointed Fernando Villamil, MD, to its surgeon advisory board and the company’s director of education for Latin America.

Dr. Villamil is the chief of orthopedic spine service at Ashford Presbyterian Community Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He is fellowship-trained in spine surgery from Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Dr. Villamil will work to develop training programs for the minimally invasive spine fusion device company.

New York-based spine surgeon Andrew Cappuccino, MD, serves as chairman of the surgeon advisory board.
