Israeli-based Mazor produces the Renaissance spine system, which maneuvers an orthopedic surgeon’s tools in place and provides 3D mapping of the patient’s spine. The number of Renaissance systems in hospitals tripled from 2011 to 2012, from six to 18.

More than 1,300 spine procedures were performed with the system and few follow-up surgeries were needed, according to the release. Renaissance growth helped boost company revenue 150 percent in the first three quarters of 2012 to $10 million.
