James Andrews, MD, orthopedic surgeon and co-founder of the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Fla., performed arthroscopic knee surgery on the New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz.

He also performed knee surgery on Tampa Bay Rays infielder Tim Beckham and New England Patriots' tight end Rob Gronkowski.

 

Doug Freedberg, MD, and Gary Waslewski, MD, are scheduled to perform knee surgery on Arizona Cardinals free safety Tyrann Mathieu.

 

Thomas Graham, MD, vice chair of the department of orthopedic surgery at Cleveland Clinic, performed successful surgery on the right thumb of Red Sox outfielder Shane Victorino.

 

Anthony Miniaci, MD, performed knee surgery on the San Jose Sharks forward Tomas Hertl.

 

Steven Sanders, MD, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, performed surgery on UFC fighter Anderson Silva to repair the athlete's broken left tibia and stabilize his broken left fibula.
