Spine Surgeon Leader to Know: Dr. D. Greg Anderson of Rothman Institute

D. Greg Anderson, MD, is a spine surgeon with Rothman Institute and clinical director of the spine section of the Orthopaedic Research Laboratory at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He also serves as a professor in the department of orthopedic and neurological surgery.

Previously, Dr. Anderson served as the chief of orthopedics at Langley Air Force Base and assistant professor at the University of Virginia. He is currently president of the Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and an active participant in the Scoliosis Research Society and North American Spine Society.

 

Throughout his career, Dr. Anderson has had an interest in research and published spine-related articles in several professional journals.

 

Dr. Anderson earned his medical degree at Loma Linda (Calif.) University and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, Irvine. His additional training includes a spine surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University and the ABC Traveling Fellow of the American Orthopaedic Association.
