It is vital to keep up with the current evidence based literature and determine which technologies and procedures work best for us a specialty. Innovation in medicine is vital, but it is just as important to recognize the worth of validated technologies and techniques as well. Spine surgery can be life saving and life-changing for patients, so it is our duty to provide the best possible care for our patients by striving for perfection in our own education."
