One-third of physicians have thought about transitioning their practices to a patient-centered medical home, according to Physicians Practice's 2014 Great American Physician Survey.
The survey includes responses from 1,311 physicians.
When asked if they would consider becoming a PCMH, respondents said:
• I have no interest — 50.2 percent
• I've thought about it, but have no plans to make the switch — 29.2 percent
• I'm already a PCMH — 11 percent
• I'm currently transitioning to a PCMH or I'm planning to — 9.6 percent
