Biomet has partnered with OMeGA Medical Grants Association to support the training of orthopedic residents, according to a Biomet news release.

Biomet has committed to funding resident education through OMeGA, which will provide financial support to orthopedic surgery residents in the United States and Canada. The funding is intended for resident enhancement programs like grand rounds, journal clubs, textbooks, attendance at professional meetings and other educational experiences.

OMeGA is expected to award the grants in July. The association is responsible for soliciting, receiving, reviewing and approving grant requests based on adherence to qualification criteria.
