The American Health Information Management Association has announced a new award to recognize healthcare delivery organizations with outstanding, innovative and effective approaches in using health information to delivery high quality healthcare.
The "AHIMA Grace Award: In Recognition of Excellence in Health Information Management" is named for founder Grace Whiting Myers. The inaugural award will be presented at the 84th AHIMA Annual Convention & Exhibit in Chicago Sept. 29 to Oct. 4.
Evaluation criteria includes how organizations contribute to patient-centered models of care, advance electronic health records and integrate health information management throughout the workplace.
