Xavier University to name $10 million training center after orthopedic surgeon: 3 details

Cincinnati-based Xavier University will name its $10 million training center The Heidt Family Champions Center in dedication to Robert Heidt Jr., MD, and his wife, Julia Scripps Heidt, according to Cincinnati Business Courier.

1. Dr. Heidt has served as CEO of Wellington Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine in Cincinnati since 2012.

2. Dr. Heidt worked as a team physician for the Cincinnati Bengals for 27 years and was president of the NFL Physician’s Society.

3. Dr. Heidt earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery.
