Wyoming Hospital Hires Second Orthopedic Surgeon Over Private Orthopedic Group’s Protests

Jeffrey Gilles, MD, will join Orthopaedic Specialists of Wyoming, which is owned by Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyo., according to the Gillette News-Record.

Dr. Gilles, who has an emphasis in sports medicine, has practiced in Oklahoma, Colorado and Illinois.

Surgeons at the independent Powder River Orthopedics and Spine have opposed the hospital’s hiring of a second orthopedic surgeon, saying it would be unnecessary.
