Wound Management Technologies’ Resorbable Orthopedics Begins Production of Bone Void Fillers

Fort Worth, Texas-based Wound Management Technologies, a growing provider of specialty medical products, announced that its Resorbable Orthopedics operating subsidiary is moving toward production of its patented orthopedic bone void fillers and expects products to be introduced in the third quarter of 2010, according to a Wound Management Technologies news release.

“Resorbable Orthopedics has patented technologies that include a resorbable bone wax and a delivery system for orthopedic bone void fillers that were previously unheard of. Orthopedic disorders are expanding internationally into a multi-billion dollar market,” Barry Constantine, founder of Resorbable Orthopedics, said in the release. “Market entry is expected in third quarter 2010 subject to initiation and completion of certain medical certifications.”

Wound Management Technologies has spent the last year focusing on distribution of its CellerateRx product, according to the release.
