Mark Herr, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Luther Midelfort Mayo Health System in Eau Claire, Wis., has been named an assistant professor of orthopedics for the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minn., according to a release from Luther Midelfort.
To achieve faculty status, Dr. Herr had to demonstrate competency in his field and show a commitment to training and mentoring future orthopedic specialists.
Dr. Herr, a former Mayo College of Medicine graduate, specializes in hip, knee and ankle replacement surgery and sports medicine.
