Dr. Furness was struck by a hit-and-run motorcyclist in Bangkok and died earlier this week. He founded his practice, Family Foot Clinic, in 1984 and last week announced its intent to join Agnesian HealthCare in January.
Prior to opening his practice, Dr. Furness spent three years as director of foot clinics in the department of orthopedic surgery at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia and was board chair of the Podiatry Affiliated Credentialing Board for the State of Wisconsin.
