Dr. Koenig is a pioneer of robotically-assisted total knee replacements and has performed more than 1,500 cases. He also recently introduced the ARC total hip replacement system at the hospital for performing minimally invasive procedures.
Previously, Dr. Koenig served as director of orthopedic surgery and chief of arthritis and joint replacement surgery at Mercy Medical Center. He founded the Joint Endeavor Program for a Rapid Recovery, a program that takes a holistic approach to joint replacement care.
He earned his medical degree from State University of New York at Buffalo and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Long Island Jewish Hospital. His additional training includes a fellowship in advanced joint reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee at Joint Implant Surgeons in Columbus.
