Wholesale Costs for Hospital and Physician Practices Continue to Rise

Wholesale costs increased 0.2 percent for hospitals and 0.1 percent for physician practices during the month of September, according to recently released data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

This is the third straight month of wholesale cost increases for physician practices, which have experienced increases totaling 0.8 percent since July, and the second month of increases for hospitals, which experienced a 0.2 percent in August, according to the Producer Price Index.
