White House, Health Insurers Collaborate on HealthCare.gov Workaround

The White House is working to allow health insurers to bypass the glitch-ridden federal exchange site, HealthCare.gov, according to a report from The Hill.

The Obama administration has said it will allow insurers to directly enroll people who qualify for federal tax subsidies, according to the report. Previously, consumers who qualified for subsidies to help pay for the cost of coverage were required to enroll through the federal exchange site.
