Vincent C. Traynelis, MD (Rush University Medical Center, Chicago). Dr. Traynelis is the director of neurosurgery spine service and vice chairperson and professor at Rush University Medical Center. He also serves as the A. Watson Armour III & Sarah Armour Presidential Chair.
Dr. Traynelis is a board-certified neurosurgeon with a special interest in complex spine surgery, deformity, disc replacement and minimally invasive spine surgery. He is a past president of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and Cervical Spine Research Society. He has also served as the chairman of the editorial board for the Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine. He currently consults with Medtronic Sofamor Danek, USA.
Dr. Traynelis earned his medical degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in neurological surgery.
