University of Louisville Names Dr. Craig Roberts Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics

Craig Roberts, MD, a professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Louisville (Ky.), was recently named the chairman of the school’s department of orthopedics, according to a university news release.

Dr. Roberts previously served as the department’s residency director. His research interests include knee and shoulder conditions, sports medicine, fractures, orthopedic trauma and arthritis. He also serves as reviewer for Arthroscopy and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma.

Dr. Roberts earned his medical degree from New York University Medical School and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery in New York City. His additional training includes fellowships in orthopedic research, sports medicine, biomechanics, arthroscopy and knee reconstructive surgery at the Cincinnati Sportsmedicine and Orthopaedic Center.
