The new building includes UI Sports Medicine, which offers sports medicine to UI athletes and exercisers of all ages and fitness levels, according to the report. The facility includes 16 exam rooms and four treatment rooms; rehabilitation services, including a hydrotherapy pool; other specialties, such as care for children’s injuries and orthopedic subspecialty clinics devoted to treating disorders of the hand, shoulder, foot and ankle.
Patients will be able to access rehabilitation services including the pool, custom orthotics, athletic shoe modification and bracing, training aids and rehabilitation accessories, according to the report.
