University of California at San Francisco Opens $1.6B Orthopaedic Institute

The University of California at San Francisco has opened its $1.6 billion Orthopaedic Institute, according to a release from UCSF.

The 42,000-square-foot institute has 28 exam rooms, four ORs and two procedure rooms and will engage in outpatient treatment, research and training in musculoskeletal conditions, injuries and sports medicine.

The institute features the West Coast’s only dance medicine program, a cartilage repair and regeneration program, an orthotics and prosthetics facility and the Human Performance Center, which will analyze patients’ movements.
