Dr. Robinson is a family and sports medicine physician and has served as the head team physician for The University of Alabama Athletic Department since 1989. He runs a private practice in Tuscaloosa, West Alabama Family Practice and Sports Medicine. Additionally, he is the director of the college’s Dr. Bill deShazo Sports Medicine Center.
Originally from New Orleans, Dr. Robinson studied at Louisiana State University and completed his residency at the college’s Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency. In the past, Dr. Robinson has worked as a team physician for the U.S. soccer teams, U.S. athletes at the Olympic Village Sports Medicine Clinic during the 2009 Summer Games and with the New Orleans Saints medical team.
