UC Irvine Health’s Dr. Shalini Shah is Sole Fellowship-Trained Pediatric Pain Specialist in Southern California

Orange, Calif.-based UC Irvine Health announced that Shalini Shah, MD, director of pediatric pain management in UC Irvine Health’s department of anesthesiology and perioperative care, is the only specialist in Southern California who is fellowship-trained to treat pediatric patients suffering from chronic pain.

Dr. Shah completed her fellowship in pediatric pain management under Charles Berde, MD, at Harvard University and Boston Children’s Hospital. She offers treatments for lower back pain, headaches, and joint pain such as spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal pain pump technology and cooled radiofrequency technology.
