Two Universities Honor AAOS CEO Karen Hackett

American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons CEO Karen Hackett, FACHE, CAE, was recently recognized for her outstanding achievement in association management by the University of Central Florida and Lewis University, according to an AAOS news release.

Ms. Hackett earned her undergraduate degree at Central Florida, and her MBA from Lewis University. Central Florida inducted Ms. Hackett into the College of Business Administration Hall of Fame, where she joins only 59 other inductees. Lewis honored Ms. Hackett with the 2011 Alumni Achievement Award in the field of business.

Ms. Hackett has served as CEO of AAOS since 2003 and previously served as vice president and COO of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Over this past year, Ms. Hackett has served as the chairman of the American Society of Association Executives.
