Two Philadelphia Hospitals Become Partial Owners of Rothman Institute’s Bucks County Specialty Hospital

Philadelphia’s Rothman Institute announced that Holy Redeemer Health System and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, both located in Philadelphia, will become partial owners of the Bucks County Specialty Hospital in Bensalem, Penn., according to a Citybizlist report.

BCSH, a facility dedicated to orthopedic care, has 24 patient rooms and six operating rooms and recovery areas. Rothman Institute purchased the 64,000 square-foot facility in 2009. Currently, Nueterra Healthcare of Leawood, Kan., currently manages the facility.

Additionally, Holy Redeemer plans to open an ASC on the property anchored by breast care services and Jefferson’s Kimmel Cancer Center will receive space in the medical office building where the company will manage BCSH’s Cyberknife Robotic Radiosurgery System.
