The Foundation also praises the efforts of a 10-year relationship it built with Hospital Sacre Coeur in Milot, Haiti, which has included medical mission trips, equipment support and technology improvements. The relationship enabled the hospital to become one of the primary trauma centers treating earthquake victims.

Six TriMedx associates also traveled to Haiti to help repair and install medical equipment after the earthquake, according to the report.

Biomet donated $3.1 million in medical equipment to the effort, including adult and pediatric orthopedic devices used to treat broken bones, including arm, leg, head and jaw injuries, according to the report.
