TransEnterix 2018 Q1 revenue reaches $4.8M, new loss totals $11.3M: 5 details

1. For the quarter, TransEnterix reported $4.8 million in revenues compared to $1.9 million in revenue during the same period of 2017.

2. The company’s total net operating income and expenses were $5.4 million. In the first quarter of 2017, TransEnterix reported $16.5 million in total net operating income and expenses.

3. TransEnterix’s net loss in the first quarter was $900,000, as compared to $15.4 million in the same quarter of 2017.

4. Adjusted net loss in the first quarter topped $11.3 million or $0.06 per share. In the first quarter of 2017, the company’s adjusted new loss was $12.6 million or $0.11 per share.

5. TransEnterix sold two Senhance Systems in the first quarter, totally $3.5 million in sales. The company also filed an FDA submission to expand the use of the minimally invasive surgery system.
