Orthopedists earn the most from patient care as compared to physicians from other specialties, according to the Medscape Physician Compensation Report 2015.

•    Cardiology — $376,000
•    Gastroenterology — $370,000
•    Anesthesiology — $358,000
•    Plastic surgery — $354,000
•    Radiology — $351,000
•    Urology — $344,000
•    Dermatology — $339,000
•    General surgery — $317,000
•    Emergency medicine — $302,000

 

The survey includes responses from 19,657 physicians across 26 specialties.
