The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Launches Young Adult Hip Preservation Program

 

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia has launched a Young Adult Hip Preservation Program, which is designed specifically for young adults with complex hip disorders.

The program will be led by Wudbhav N. Sankar, MD, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon who focuses on complex hip procedures such as the Ganz periacetabular osteotomy, surgical dislocation of the hip and head realignments following slipped epiphyses. The physicians involved in the program will also conduct research on hip deformities, new surgical techniques and will track long-term outcomes.
