Tennessee Orthopedic Rehabilitation Supply Company Closing

DJO/Chattanooga Group, a Chattanooga, Tenn., company that makes rehabilitation equipment for musculoskeletal, neurological and soft-tissue problems, is closing down after 60 years in operation, according to a report by Knoxvillebiz.com.

The closure is a result of the merger of DJO, the company’s parent, with ReAble Therapeutics, owned by the Blackstone Group.

Parts of the Chattanooga company will be moved to other locations, such as manufacturing moving to Mexico and customer service to Vista, Calif.
