Temple University Hospital Names Dr. Matthew Lorei Assistant Director of Joint Replacement & Reconstruction

Matthew P. Lorei, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, recently joined Temple University School of Medicine as an associate professor of orthopedic surgery and assistant director of joint replacement and reconstruction surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, according to a hospital news release.

He has a special interest in joint replacement surgery and minimally invasive surgery for hip and knee arthritis. Dr. Lorei earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. His additional training includes a joint reconstruction fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

Dr. Lorei is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and previously held appointments at Cornell University Medical College in Ithaca, N.Y., and Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
