Syracuse’s Community General Hospital Opens New Orthopedics Unit

Community General Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y., has opened its new $7.6 million orthopedics unit on the sixth floor of the hospital, according to a report in The Post-Standard.

The unit, built in a space that used to house a nursing home facility, will treat patients undergoing knee, hip and spine surgery, according to the report. The new unit also has 35 private patient rooms, and Excellus BlueCross BlueShield recently named the hospital as a Blue Distinction Center for spine surgery and hip and knee replacements.
