Synthes Will Market Kensey Nash’s Reconstructive Surgical Products

Synthes will market and distribute Kensey Nash Corp.’s extracellular matrix, porcine-derived tissues for reconstructive surgical applications, according to a release from Synthes.

The products are used for soft-tissue reinforcement procedures such as abdominal repairs and head, neck and chest reconstructions.

The extracellular matrix tissues can rapidly revascularize so that they can be quickly repopulated with cells from the host tissue, ultimately converting them into functional living tissue.
