The injections in the AT showed good distribution of the PRP in both the AT and the paratenon. Researchers injected 15 cadaveric lower limbs using ultrasound guidance with Indian blue-dyed PRP. Five injections went into the AT at midportion level, five into the anterior and five into the posterior.
While all injections showed PRP infiltration at the AT and paratenon, one of five limbs showed PRP leakage into the Kager fat pad. Anterior and posterior injections showed PRP infiltration in the area between the AT and paratenon.
