The NCHS’s 2011 physician workflow study also revealed that three-quarters of physicians who have adopted an EHR system reported it meets federal meaningful use criteria. Moreover, a majority of physicians who have adopted EHRs are either somewhat satisfied (47 percent) or very satisfied (38 percent) with how they function.
Of the physicians surveyed who have yet to adopt an EHR system, nearly half said they plan to do within the next year.
More than 3,000 physicians responded to the survey conducted by the NCHS, which is part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
