The great majority of patients were under-insured — those patients who work but have deductibles that exceed $10,000. Tom Menke, MD, provided free anesthesia services, and Olympus and Scott Bly donated $150,000 worth of equipment to the surgery center. Boston Scientific and Salix Pharmaceuticals also provided disposable equipment and preps.

The board-certified gastroenterologists at Stratham Ambulatory Surgical Center have an average of 20 years experience and have performed a combined 40,000 colonoscopies.
