Steven Mardjetko, MD (Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, Morton Grove, Ill.). Dr. Mardjetko is a physician with Illinois Bone and Joint Institute and an assistant professor in the department of orthopedic surgery at Rush Medical Center in Chicago. He also serves as chief of the spinal surgery section in the division of orthopedic surgery at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He was previously section chief of pediatric orthopedics at Cook county Hospital and chief of pediatric orthopedics at Hope Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill.
In addition to his clinical practice Dr. Mardjetko focuses on research and has published several articles in professional medical journals. Article topics include pedicle screw fixation and scoliosis treatment.
Dr. Mardjetko earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois School of Medicine in Chicago and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Illinois Hospital. His additional training includes a fellowship in spinal deformity at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago and another fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Rush and Shriners Hospital.
