Srdjan Mirkovic, MD (Northwestern Orthopaedic Institute, Chicago). Dr. Mirkovic is an orthopedic surgeon at Northwestern Orthopaedic Institute with a special interest in spinal arthroplasty and managing degenerative spinal conditions. He is also a spine consultant for the Chicago Bears and Chicago Fire soccer team.

 

Dr. Mirkovic has served on committees for professional organizations such as the North American Spine Society and International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery. His research has been published in several peer review journals and he’s studied topics such as spinal cord injury extensively. In addition to his clinical practice, he offers input to equipment design and is an established expert in the field.

 

Dr. Mirkovic earned his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. His additional training includes a spine surgery fellowship at the University of California in San Diego.
