Sports medicine surgeon Sylvester Youlo to join Southern Indiana Orthopedics: 3 things to know

Sylvester T. Youlo, MD, is set to join Southern Indiana Orthopedics in Columbus Aug. 2.

1. Dr. Youlo focues on injuries and conditions of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee and ankle. He is a fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in sports medicine. His has expertise in arthroscopy and joint replacement as well as the effective diagnosis and treatment of sports-related orthopedic injuries and conditions.

 

2. Dr. Youlo received his medical degree from the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinical system in Madison. He then completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

 

3. Dr. Youlo is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
