Dr. Kern is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon. He received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland and underwent orthopedic sports medicine fellowship training at the Birmingham, Ala.-based American Sports Medicine Institute.
University Orthopedic Surgeons employs 14 physicians and is a division of Knoxville-based OrthoTennessee.
