Sports Medicine Physician Joins Mayo-Affiliated Minnesota Hospital

Darryl Barnes, MD, a sports medicine physician, is joining the staff of 117-bed Austin (Minn.) Medical Center, which is part of Mayo Health System, according to a release from Austin Medical Center.

Dr. Barnes received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine, completed his family medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic’s Graduate School of Medicine and completed his sports medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.

He will treat osteoarthritis, tendon injuries, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, bursitis and athletic injuries.
