Spine surgeon Dr. Michael Halperin to speak on new minimally invasive procedure: 4 key points

Michael Halperin, MD, is scheduled to host a seminar “Advances in Spine Surgery” where he will dive into a new minimally invasive procedure, according to The Day.

Here are four key points:

 

1. Dr. Halperin plans to discuss a new spinal procedure designed to cause less blood loss, less muscle damage and in turn provide a quicker recovery for patients suffering from chronic pain.

 

2. A member of Orthopedic Partners in Norwich, Conn., Dr. Halperin’s interests include cervical and lumbar disorders. He has trained with orthopedic spine surgeons and neurosurgeons.

 

3. Dr. Halperin earned his medical degree and completed his residency at New York City-based New York Medical College.

 

4. The seminar is sponsored by Norwich-based William W. Backus Hospital and will be held Feb. 15, at the Hartford HealthCare System Support Office in Norwich.
