Four things to know:
1. SoutheastHealth will treat NCAA Division I athletics athletes as well as its club sports participants and performing arts students.
2. Orthopedic surgeons Anthony McPherron, DO, Matthew Baker, MD, and Charity Jacobs, MD, as well as sports medicine physician Andrew Lawrence, MD, will begin new roles as team physicians at the university’s NCAA competitions.
3. Same-day services will be provided for students with physicians available around the clock to communicate with SMSU’s athletic training staff.
4. Ultrasound technology and a portable X-ray machine will be added to the athletic training center.
