South Shore Hospital in Massachusetts Expanding Orthopedic Services

South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Mass., is expanding orthopedic services to its Emerson building, according to an MD News report.

The $43 million expansion will include 60 private inpatient rooms. The project, which began in June is expected to last for approximately 18 months. The expansion will add 40 feet to the hospital and two new floors, which will be designated space for orthopedic, spine and sports medicine patients.

The hospital is also in the process of developing a musculoskeletal ambulatory center in Hingham, which is scheduled to open in October.
