During the procedure, a cadaver tissue graft is surgically placed in the patient’s shoulder to replace the defective tendon. The graft is sewn into the patient’s rotator cuff and used to bridge the defect over the bone. Then, the graft is reattached to the bone.
The procedure is not FDA approved, and the procedure is still considered experimental.
