Sequel Systems Announces Launch of SequelMed Patient Portal

Melville, N.Y.-based Sequel Systems, a service-oriented healthcare technology company, announced the launch and general availability of SequelMed Patient Portal, a new, Web-based tool that is designed to improve communication between physicians and patients, giving patients instant access to their personal health information and allowing physicians and other healthcare providers more time to focus on delivering the best possible care, according to a Sequel Systems news release.

SequelMed Patient Portal is the latest addition to Sequel Systems’ suite of healthcare solutions, which includes an electronic health record, practice and document management software and e-prescribing technology, according to the release.

According to the release, with SequelMed Patient Portal, patients will be able to:

  • request appointments with their care providers
  • receive reminders and alerts
  • complete patient registration and necessary health forms
  • manage referrals
  • view physician information developed specifically for patients
  • view their personal health records
  • request and conduct eVisit consultations
  • renew and refill prescriptions
  • access lab results
  • pay their bills online
