Seattle Seahawks’ defensive tackle diagnosed with cancer

Jesse Williams, a 24-year-old defensive tackle for the Seattle Seahawks, was diagnosed with papillary Type 2 cancer and will undergo kidney surgery, reports NBC Sports.

Mr. Williams said he will focus on his health with the goal of returning to football, according to a statement. He has yet to play in a regular-season NFL game, as he suffered knee injures before the last two seasons, according to NBC Sports.
